99 % of all drinking water in Denmark has been delivered by untreated groundwater so far. But pesticides and nitrate from farming polute the groundwater in a increasing way.
Besides this Denmark since 2007 has experienced two major reforms for the water sector. The territorial reform changed the borders and responsibilities of local government (2007). The water sector reform has made the management rules evolve more liberally.
On a Voting Conference the most important actors will present their action plan for securing clean drinking water in the future. Citizens, politicians and professionals will individuel vote on the action plan, that they find would be the best.
