In Poland, where you can find rubbish dumps and sewage treatment plants in most municipalities and the agri-food sector is one of the pillars of the national economy, there are as few as 150 biogas plants (including the only agricultural one). In contrast, there are over 3700 biogas installations in Germany with a total capacity of 650 MW. Environmental protection and energy security should encourage us to further investigate the potential benefits of Polish biogas.
