STOA Workshop: Policy options for the improvement of the European patent system

Organised by ETAG on behalf of The European Parliament's Scientific Technology Options Assessment Panel (STOA)
Chair: Philippe Busquin, MEP, Chairman of STOA

The workshop took place in The European Parliament on June 14, 2007, from 10am to 12.30pm

The purpose of the workshop was to debate the policy options put forward in the final draft of the report “Policy options for the improvement of the European patent system” commissioned by the STOA Panel of the European Parliament from the European Technology Assessment Group and carried out on its behalf by the Danish Board of Technology.

At the workshop, the policy options put forward in the report were presented by the working group and debated with Members of the European Parliament and the audience present.

Below are links to the project website and documents from a previous workshop in the European Parliament in 2006, where 12 independent experts and stakeholders were invited to present policy options and debate them with MEP’s and the working group.
