Future Urban Transport
The citizens debated and shared views on the future urban transport at the STOA project ”Technology Options in Urban Transport: Changing paradigms and promising innovation pathways” which The Danish Board of Technology was a part of. The interview meetings had to create a better understanding of the city citizens’ views on how best to develop the urban transportation in the future. Transport and traffic is closed attached to the cities wellbeing, development and dynamic, but traffic in the city also create pollution and crowds which have a negative effect on the everyday live. This is a dilemma the citizens discussed alongside with their views on a number of specific technologies and policy tools that in the near future may become topical. The Danish interview meeting was held on Tuesday, 14th of June 2011, while the international partners held meetings throughout the summer.
